9 Recruitee Alternatives for 2026

K
Klearskill TeamSeptember 16, 2026

Recruitee's pricing page does not show a single price. It lists three plans, Start, Advance and Optimize, and explains that cost depends on your plan, your headcount and your billing period, with a minimum commitment of one year even if you pay monthly. For a team that wants to know what an applicant tracking system costs before booking a demo, that is usually where the search for an alternative begins. Here are nine, with every price taken from the vendor's own live pricing page in September 2026.

Quick Answer

The strongest Recruitee alternatives in 2026 are Klearskill for unlimited AI CV screening from $10 a month, JOIN for per-job pricing with unlimited seats, Manatal for the cheapest per-seat entry point, Breezy HR for flat company-wide pricing, and Workable for published list prices at scale. Only five of the nine publish prices at all.

What Is a Recruitee Alternative?

A Recruitee alternative is any applicant tracking system that covers the same core ground, meaning job posting, a branded careers site, a collaborative candidate pipeline, scheduling and reporting, but differs in what it charges for, what it caps, and how much of the AI screening layer is included rather than metered.

Recruitee, now part of Tellent, is a capable collaborative ATS used by more than 7,000 hiring teams, with a 200-plus app marketplace, unlimited data storage and strong European support. It is not a weak product. The friction is commercial: its pricing page confirms subscriptions are tiered by plan, employee count and billing period, contracts carry a one-year minimum, and single sign-on is a paid add-on on Start and Advance rather than standard.

The other friction is AI. Recruitee's AI Screening Assistant is capped at 100 credits per month on Advance, and its AI Matching Assistant at three searches per month on Advance and 65 on Optimize, with full screening functionality only on the top tier. If your reason for buying an ATS in 2026 is to stop reading CVs manually, check that 100 credit allowance against your real application volume before you sign. Our Klearskill versus Recruitee comparison goes deeper on that trade.

What to Look For in a Recruitee Alternative

  • Published pricing. If a vendor will not show a number on its own site, you cannot shortlist without a sales call, and you will not learn you are out of range until after the demo.
  • What drives the bill. Per employee, per user, per active job and flat company pricing produce wildly different totals. A ten person company hiring constantly and a 300 person company hiring twice a year want opposite models.
  • Whether AI screening is included or metered. Credit-based AI is fine until volume spikes. Check the cap against your busiest month, not your average one.
  • Active job limits. Several tools here cap concurrent open roles at three, five, ten or fifteen. That cap, not the headline price, is what forces the upgrade.
  • Contract length and notice period. Annual minimums, auto-renewal and three-month cancellation windows are common here and rarely appear on the pricing card.
  • Seat policy for hiring managers. If every interviewer needs a paid seat, collaborative hiring gets expensive fast.

The Best Recruitee Alternatives in 2026

1. Klearskill

Best for: small and mid-sized teams that want unlimited AI CV screening without credit caps.

Klearskill inverts the usual ATS pricing logic. Rather than charging per seat and then metering the AI, the Starter plan is $10 a month for one user, where the $10 covers hosting and storage only. You connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or OpenRouter account, meaning you bring your own AI key, and pay your provider directly at pennies per CV screened. Active jobs, candidates, CV storage and CVs screened are all unlimited. The Pro plan is $50 a month flat with AI included, no external account needed, unlimited users on your company domain, and a fair-use cap of 10,000 CVs screened per month that disappears if you connect your own key.

Both plans include the full ATS, meaning jobs, pipeline, email automation and analytics, plus a branded careers page, talent rediscovery, AI candidate scoring, candidate insights, red flag detection and custom AI preferences. The honest weakness is ecosystem maturity: Klearskill has no equivalent to Recruitee's 200-plus app marketplace and no built-in HRIS, onboarding or performance module.

Pricing: Starter $10 a month, Pro $50 a month flat. Free trial with one job and 25 CVs screened, no card needed. Standout feature: Unlimited AI CV screening with no credit allowance to monitor.

2. Workable

Best for: companies that want full price transparency and a broad recruiting plus HR suite.

Workable is the most commercially transparent option here. Its pricing page publishes complete list prices for all three plans across nine employee bands, and goes further than anyone else by publishing the per-action economics of its AI agent, making it the easiest tool to model before talking to sales.

The catch is the model. Pricing is banded by employee count, so a 180 person company hiring four people a year pays substantially more than a 20 person company hiring twenty. AI screening is metered on top of the subscription: one credit each time a candidate is screened against your ideal candidate profile, two when a passive candidate is identified, and ten when a candidate interacts with the chat. Paid accounts start with 3,000 free credits, which expire a year after purchase.

Pricing: Standard $299 a month, Premier $599, Enterprise $719, all at the 1 to 20 employee band, rising with headcount. AI credit bundles from $600 for 5,000 credits. 15 day free trial, no card. Standout feature: Published list prices and published AI credit rates, so the total cost is knowable up front.

3. Manatal

Best for: recruitment agencies and small in-house teams that want deep AI scoring at the lowest per-seat cost.

Manatal is the cheapest serious entry point here. Its pricing page lists Professional at $15 per user per month on annual billing, Enterprise at $35 and Enterprise Plus at $55, with monthly billing at $19, $39 and $59 respectively. Crucially, AI candidate enrichment, AI recommendations, automatic candidate scoring, AI match summaries and AI-powered semantic search are all included across every tier rather than sold as credits.

Two things to watch. Cost scales with recruiter headcount, so a ten person talent team pays ten times what a solo recruiter does for the same capability. And the entry Professional tier caps you at 15 jobs per account and 10,000 candidates, with unlimited jobs and candidates only from Enterprise upwards. Hiring managers are unlimited and do not consume seats on any tier, which softens the per-user model. The flagship AI Interviewer is a paid add-on with no published price.

Pricing: From $15 per user per month billed annually. 14 day free trial, no card, with some features excluded during trial. Standout feature: Full AI scoring and enrichment included in the base tier rather than metered.

4. JOIN

Best for: small European teams hiring for a handful of roles who want unlimited seats.

JOIN is the cleanest cost model here for a team hiring at low volume. Its pricing page publishes Standard at EUR 17 per job per month and Advanced at EUR 34 per job per month, both billed annually with two months free, excluding VAT. Team seats are unlimited on every tier, so adding hiring managers never increases the bill, and you can cancel at any time effective at the end of the billing cycle, a meaningful contrast with Recruitee's one-year minimum.

The limitation is capability, not cost. JOIN has no AI screening and no candidate matching; its only AI feature is a job ad builder. Screening is manual and question-based, with pre-defined questions on Standard and custom ones on Advanced. Both self-serve tiers cap you at 15 active jobs, so higher-volume employers land in quoted Enterprise pricing.

Pricing: Standard EUR 17 per job per month, Advanced EUR 34 per job per month, billed annually, excluding VAT. Enterprise on request. 14 day free trial on Advanced, no card. Standout feature: Unlimited user seats with a published per-role price and no long contract.

5. Breezy HR

Best for: teams that want unlimited users and candidates on a flat company-wide fee.

Breezy HR charges a flat monthly fee per company rather than per seat, with unlimited users, candidates and positions on every paid tier. Its pricing page lists Startup at $157 a month annually or $189 monthly, Growth at $273 or $329, and Business at $439 or $529, plus a free Bootstrap tier limited to one active position.

The gap is AI. Breezy Intelligence, covering AI candidate evaluation, interaction summaries and CV auditing, is a credit-based paid add-on on every tier, with credits starting at $30 per 100,000 and no definition of what one credit consumes. Offer management, HRIS integrations and custom permissions all sit behind the $439 a month Business tier. We compare the two in our Klearskill versus Breezy HR breakdown.

Pricing: Free Bootstrap tier, then from $157 a month billed annually. 14 day full-feature trial with 100,000 Breezy Intelligence credits. Standout feature: Unlimited users and candidates on a flat fee, so adding hiring managers never raises the bill.

6. Teamtailor

Best for: employer brand led hiring teams with unlimited users and a sales-led buying process.

Teamtailor is the closest philosophical match to Recruitee and the most common head-to-head in European ATS selections. Its strength is employer branding: strong careers site building, a polished candidate experience, and unlimited job postings and unlimited users stated as included rather than metered.

The weakness is the same one that sends teams looking for a Recruitee alternative in the first place. Its pricing page publishes nothing: no plan names, no tiers, no numbers, just an invitation to request a quote. Its AI Co-pilot is not mentioned on the pricing page at all, so whether it is included, tiered or metered cannot be established without a sales conversation.

Pricing: Pricing on request. No trial offered on the pricing page. Standout feature: Unlimited job postings and unlimited users stated as included.

7. Homerun

Best for: small European companies that want a warm, design-led careers page bundled with lightweight HR.

Homerun is a Dutch alternative with a clear design point of view and, unusually for this category, published euro pricing. Its pricing page sells by job slot, where one slot equals one published job post, bundled with included employee seats for its lightweight HR product, with additional employee seats at EUR 4 a month. Annual pricing starts around EUR 89 to EUR 109 a month depending on tier, with slot allowances running from three up to ten.

Two honest cautions. The pricing page currently renders two overlapping plan structures with different names and prices, so confirm the exact tier and figure before budgeting. And no AI screening, matching or scoring is mentioned anywhere on the page, so if automated CV review is why you are switching, Homerun does not solve it.

Pricing: From roughly EUR 89 a month billed annually, by job slot, on a 12 month commitment with 30 days' notice before renewal. 15 day free trial, no card. Standout feature: Transparent euro pricing with a genuinely well-designed careers page and lightweight HR records bundled in.

8. Personio

Best for: European companies that want recruiting inside a full HR system rather than as a separate tool.

Personio is the strongest option here if your real problem is that recruiting, absence, time tracking and payroll preparation live in four different places. Recruiting is sold as one app inside the Personio Core platform, so a candidate becomes an employee record without a migration.

It is also the least suitable if price transparency is what drove you here. The pricing page shows tiers and a feature matrix but no numeric price, and every call to action is a demo booking. Cost depends on employee count plus whichever apps you add, and a one-time setup fee applies at account creation. The contract terms are the strictest here: a 12 month minimum that auto-renews for another 12 months and must be cancelled at least three months before the term ends. AI screening is not mentioned on the pricing page.

Pricing: Pricing on request, plus a one-time setup fee. No free trial offered. Standout feature: Recruiting sits inside one employee record alongside the rest of the HR stack.

9. Pinpoint

Best for: mid-market talent teams who want a high-touch, consultative implementation.

Pinpoint is a well-regarded mid-market ATS with a deliberately consultative sales motion. Its pricing page is a request form leading to a short qualification call and a product overview, framed explicitly as low-pressure rather than a hard sell, which some buyers prefer over self-serve.

It sits last for one reason: there is nothing published to compare. No plan names, no tiers, no numbers, no stated pricing model, no trial and no mention of AI screening. If you are shortlisting on price transparency, Pinpoint is the opposite of what you want. If you want a vendor to scope your process before quoting, it is worth the call. Our Klearskill versus Pinpoint comparison covers the feature side.

Pricing: Pricing on request. No trial offered. Standout feature: A consultative scoping process aimed at complex hiring rather than headcount bands.

How to Choose the Right Recruitee Alternative for Your Team

Is your problem the price, or the AI cap? If it is price, Manatal, JOIN and Breezy HR all publish numbers and all undercut a typical Recruitee quote for a small team. If it is the 100 credit monthly screening allowance on Advance, the only options here offering uncapped AI screening rather than a bigger allowance are Klearskill on either plan and Manatal, which includes scoring in every tier without a published credit count.

How many people need to touch the pipeline? If interviewers and hiring managers need access, avoid per-user models. JOIN, Breezy HR, Teamtailor and Klearskill Pro all give unlimited users. Manatal charges per recruiter seat but keeps hiring managers free.

How many roles are open at once? This is the cap that catches people out. JOIN stops at 15 active jobs on both self-serve tiers, Manatal at 15 on Professional, Homerun at three to ten job slots, and Recruitee at five on Start. Klearskill, Breezy HR from Startup, and Workable offer unlimited or fair-use-unlimited active jobs. For more low-cost options, see our guide to the best ATS for small business in 2026.

Do you need recruiting and core HR in one system? Only Personio genuinely delivers that here, with Homerun a lighter version. Everything else is a specialist ATS: better hiring tooling, plus an HRIS integration to maintain.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Recruitee cost?

Recruitee does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists three plans, Start, Advance and Optimize, and states that subscriptions are tiered by plan, employee count and billing period. Paying annually gives a 20 per cent discount, and all contracts carry a one-year minimum even if you pay monthly. You need a quote.

What is the cheapest Recruitee alternative?

Among tools that publish prices, Klearskill's Starter plan at $10 a month is the lowest entry point, though that fee covers hosting and storage while you connect your own AI account and pay your provider directly. Manatal at $15 per user per month billed annually is the cheapest conventional per-seat option, and Breezy HR has a free tier limited to one active position.

Does Recruitee include AI screening?

Partially, and with caps. Recruitee's pricing page shows the AI-powered Screening Assistant at 100 credits per month on the Advance plan, with full functionality only on the top Optimize plan. The AI Matching Assistant is limited to three searches per month on Advance and 65 per month on Optimize. If your application volume is high, check those allowances against a busy month before committing.

Which Recruitee alternatives publish their prices?

Five of the nine here do. Klearskill, Workable, Manatal, JOIN, Homerun and Breezy HR all show numeric prices on their own websites. Teamtailor, Personio and Pinpoint are quote-only, so any price you see attributed to them on a review site did not come from the vendor.

Can I migrate my candidate data out of Recruitee?

Recruitee offers API access across tiers, so extraction is technically possible. Confirm the export format and whether historical notes, evaluations and attachments travel with the candidate records, since those are commonly lost in ATS migrations. Agree the export before you give notice, not after.

What should I check before signing any ATS contract?

Four things that rarely appear on the pricing card: the minimum contract term, the notice period to cancel before auto-renewal, whether single sign-on is included or a paid add-on, and what happens to your AI credit allowance in your busiest hiring month. Recruitee, Personio and Homerun all carry annual commitments, and Personio requires three months' notice before the term ends.

Screen Every CV Automatically, From $10 a Month

If you are leaving Recruitee over the monthly AI credit allowance, Klearskill removes the allowance entirely. Starter is $10 a month with unlimited jobs, candidates and CVs screened using your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or OpenRouter account. Pro is $50 a month flat with AI included and unlimited users on your company domain. Start free with one job and 25 CVs screened, no card needed.
